Privacy Policy

This privacy policy sets out how I use and protect any personal information that you give when, or after, using this website.

I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected.  Should I ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified, you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy policy.

I may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. This updated policy is effective from 24 May 2018.

What I collect

When using my services I will collect your name and contact information, including email address and a contact number, as well as any necessary clinical information.

People who contact me digitally or by phone

I may record the details of the call/email and, if my services are used, contact details will be stored on my personal computer and my mobile phone for the duration of our therapeutic contract. They will be removed six months after ending my service to you, unless you inform me otherwise.

On engaging with and agreeing to use my services, I shall ask you to give consent to my terms and conditions.

What I do with the information
Personal information provided by you will only be used so that I can respond to a request for information made by you, or to contact you if you have asked me to do so, or as part of our therapeutic contract.

I will not use your personal information for any other purpose without obtaining your explicit consent to use it for that specific purpose.

I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless I have your permission or am required by law to do so. Please also see below ‘Recipients of personal data.

You may request details of personal information which I hold about you at any time.  If you believe that any information I am holding about you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email me as soon as possible. I will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.

If you would like me to delete any personal information I hold about you, please write to or email me and I will promptly do so.

Recipients of personal data

I may occasionally need to transfer personal data to other organisations, including but not limited to:

  • Bodies in the NHS, for instance your GP, healthcare, social and welfare advisors or practitioners
  • Health care providers you have been referred by, such as BUPA or Onebright Ltd
  • Persons making an enquiry or complaint to my professional organisations
  • Police forces (for example if a criminal investigation is being carried out)
  • Trusted people who hold my professional will in case I experience adversity and who need to act on my behalf.

Security

I will respect your confidentiality and will keep the information about you confidential. I store it securely and control who has access to it.

I will only share such information as necessary, and where I am satisfied that a third party is entitled to receive it and they will keep your information confidential and secure.

The security of your Personal Information is important to me, but remember that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. While I strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, I cannot guarantee its absolute security.

What cookies does this website use?
I use traffic log cookies in order to analyse data about my web pages.  I only use this information for statistical analysis purposes.  This website includes the following features provided by Google which use cookies.

Google Analytics
I use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc.  Google collects data from every website visit / visitor but it does not store any personally identifiable information. Your IP address is used to determine your physical location but the IP address itself is not data that can be accessed through Google Analytics; all data is aggregated and anonymised. reCAPTCHA v3 is implemented on this site as a spam protection measure.  Use of reCAPTCHA v3 is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
